April Fools

They mowed my lawn here last week....in Wisconsin the lawns are still brown and squishy and covered with leaves. So I guess I'm happy with being where I am right now. The South has a beautiful Spring, which used to be my least favorite season of the year (favorite season being Fall). I love flowers and can't wait to plant something that will bring color to the world!

One year, and one month...

...that's how long I've lived in North Carolina. One year, and one month. Sometimes it seems like forever. Sometimes only a short time. Yet, here I am...in a completely different world from where I was at the beginning of 2008.

First major complaint about the south....dang, it is hot here! Winter is really winter and summer is unbearable. Seasons should be more distinctive. How can you really appreciate warm weather if it never really gets all that cold. I love the cold and I love the snow. I'm learning to live without them, but I'm not happy about it....
